MANILA, Philippines – The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will bring rains to Northern Luzon, specifically Ilocos region, on Thursday, August 13.

The Ilocos region can expect light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms on that day, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in its Wednesday evening bulletin.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country can expect only isolated thunderstorms and partly cloudy to cloudy skies.

Winds in Luzon on Wednesday will be moderate to strong due to the monsoon. This means ocean waters in the region will be moderate to rough. The rest of the country can expect light to moderate winds resulting in calmer seas.
