Some light rains for extreme N. Luzon on Saturday

MANILA, Philippines – Isolated light rains are likely in islands in extreme Northern Luzon on Saturday, January 16, said the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in its Friday forecast.

The islands that will be affected are Babuyan, Batanes, and Calayan group of islands. The rains are due to the Northeast Monsoon currently affecting that part of the country.

Moderate to strong winds are also expected in this area, causing ocean waters to be moderate to rough.

Isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are likely for the rest of the country, especially the eastern section, says PAGASA. The rest of the country can expect light to moderate winds resulting in calmer ocean waters.
