Still cloudy for extreme Northern Luzon on Saturday

MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies with light rains will persist over the islands of Batanes, Calayan, and Babuyan on Saturday, January 23 according to state weather bureau PAGASA. 

In its 5 pm bulletin Friday, January 22, PAGASA said cloudy skies will also affect the province of Cagayan, and will bring light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms. 

A northeast monsoon is affecting extreme Northern Luzon, while the tail-end of a cold front is affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon. 

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds will blow from the northeast over Northern Luzon, causing moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, coastal waters will be slight to moderate as light to moderate winds blow from the east to northeast.
