Some light rains for N. Luzon islands on Tuesday

MANILA, Philippines – The islands in Extreme Northern Luzon may experience some light rains on Tuesday, February 23, predicts the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its Monday evening forecast, it said the islands of Batanes, Babuyan, and Calayan may experience isolated light rains on Tuesday due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Eastern Mindanao may be in for isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms on that day.

Metro Manila and the rest of the archipelago, meanwhile, can expect only partly cloudy to cloudy skies.

Northern Luzon should brace for moderate to strong winds. Thus, ocean waters surrounding these regions will be moderate to rough. The rest of the country will likely have only light to moderate winds, leading to calmer ocean waters.
