MANILA, Philippines – It will be partly cloudy to cloudy across the Philippines on Monday, May 2, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

In its afternoon bulletin on Sunday, May 1, the weather agency added that these skies will also bring isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. 

Meanwhile, the ridge of a high pressure area (HPA) is affecting Northern and Central Luzon. Easterlies, on the other hand, are affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Winds from the east to southeast will be light to moderate over Northern and Central Luzon while winds over the rest of the country will come from the east. Coastal waters, meanwhile, will be slight to moderate throughout the archipelage.
