‪MANILA, Philippines  – The low pressure area located east of Borongan, Eastern Samar, has developed into a tropical depression on Friday, July 29, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.‬

‪In its 11 am bulletin Friday, PAGASA said Tropical Depression Carina was estimated at 195 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar, with maximum winds of 45 km per hour (km/h) near the center.‬

‪The tropical depression is moving northwest in direction at 11 km/h, with moderate to heavy rains within its the 300-km diameter.‬

‪Carina is expected to bring moderate to heavy rains over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and Caraga, which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.‬
