MANILA, Philippines – Parts of northern Luzon will experience light to moderate rain on Sunday, September 4, said state weather bureau PAGASA.

In its 24-hour forecast on Saturday afternoon, September 3, PAGASA said that at 4 pm, a low-pressure area (LPA) was spotted 460 km northeast of Itbayat, Batanes. The southwest monsoon is also affecting northern Luzon, it added.

As such, the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Apayao, and Batanes, plus the Babuyan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms. 

Over Metro Manila and the rest of the archipelago, skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds from the southwest will blow over Luzon, where coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, light to moderate winds from the south to southwest will prevail, with slight to moderate seas. – Rappler.com
