MANILA, Philippines – Typhoon Ferdie (Meranti) is set to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday, September 14, after making landfall in Itbayat, Batanes at 12:15 am the same day.
In its bulletin issued 8 am on Wednesday, state weather bureau PAGASA said Ferdie will exit PAR between 11 am and 1 pm.
It was last spotted 150 kilometers northwest of Basco, Batanes, moving west northwest at a slightly slower 20 kilometers per hour (km/h).
