Storm signals lifted as Marce crosses West Philippine Sea
Tropical Storm Marce (Tokage) is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility by November 27

MANILA, Philippines – The state weather bureau lifted all storm warning signals on Saturday, November 26, as Tropical Storm Marce (Tokage) crosses the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea).

In its 5 am update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Marce maintained its strength overnight.

The storm packs maximum winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 100 km/h.

It is forecast to move northwest at 15 km/h.

Independent weather organization Weather Philippines also said Marce “is expected to slow down and change its course to the north-northwest at a speed of 15 km/h through the next 24 hours.”

Meanwhile, PAGASA warned about moderate to heavy rainfall within the 300-km diameter of Marce.

It added that sea travel “is risky over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon and the seaboards of Central Luzon and the western seaboard of Southern Luzon.”

Marce is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Sunday, November 27. – Rappler.com
