MANILA, Philippines – Many parts of the country will experience scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms on Sunday, October 1, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

PAGASA said a low pressure area (LPA) embedded along an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) was spotted at 115 kms west northwest of Coron, Palawan as of 2 pm on Saturday, September 30, according to its 24-hour weather forecast.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms will be experienced in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Bicol Region plus the provinces of Pangasinan, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and Benguet in Luzon, as well as in the entire Visayas and in Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, ARMM, and the provinces of Dinagat Islands, Surigao, and Agusan del Norte in Mindanao.

As for the rest of Luzon and Mindanao, skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers, mostly in the afternoon or evening.
