MANILA, Philippines – The diffused tail-end of a cold front affecting extreme Northern Luzon will bring light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening of Saturday, May 4. 

In its 5 a.m. weather forecast on Saturday, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical & Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Cagayan will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. 

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also be partly cloudy and experience isolated rain showers and thunderstorms on Saturday. 

“Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast to east will prevail over Batanes group of islands and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds coming from the east to southeast will prevail over the rest of the country with slight to moderate seas,” Pagasa said. 

The maximum temperature on Friday, May 3, was recorded at 3 p.m. at 36.4°C while the coolest temperature was recorded at 6 a.m. on Friday at 26.1 °C.
