MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reports that the typhoon known internationally as Soulik is still slated to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday.

As of 10:00 am of July 9, Soulik was estimated at 1,680 km east of Basco, Batanes. This is outside the eastern boundary of the PAR.

Soulik’s maximum sustained winds are at 120 kph, with a gustiness of 150 kph.
