MANILA, Philippines – Tropical storm Odette (international codename Usagi) has intensified further Wednesday, September 18, as it continues to linger east of Cagayan.

Odette was spotted 770 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City (17.5ºN,130.0ºE) as of 4 pm Wednesday, September 18, state weather bureau PAGASA said in its 24-hour public weather forecast.

Odette has maximum sustained winds of 105 km/h near the center and gusts of up to 135 km/h.
