MANILA, Philippines – A low pressure area and the southwest monsoon will bring more rain to parts of the country’s western seaboard Wednesday, September 25.

As of 10 am Wednesday, the low pressure area was 320 kilometers west of Oriental Mindoro (14.0°N, 118.0°E), state weather bureau PAGASA said in an advisory released 11 am.

Along with the southwest monsoon, the low pressure area will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms to the western areas of Luzon and Visayas.

The Mindoros and Palawan can expect moderate to occasionally heavy rain due to the twin weather systems, the bureau said.

The next update on the LPA and the monsoon will be included in the bureau’s 24-hour forecast at 5 pm. – Rappler.com
