Cloudy skies in Luzon Wednesday

MANILA, Philippines – Most of Luzon will be cloudy Wednesday, November 6, as a low pressure area continues to hover near the Palawan area, state weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday, November 5.

As of 4 pm Tuesday, the LPA was located 250 kilometers west northwest of Puerto Princesa City, the bureau said in its 24-hour forecast.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain is in the forecast for Palawan, the Mindoro provinces, Calabarzon, Central Luzon, and Metro Manila.

The Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos regions will have cloudy skies with light rains, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rains.

Tropical storm Haiyan will continue to move closer towards the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Meanwhile, no tropical cyclone exists within the PAR.

Prevailing winds will be coming from the northeast.
