MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies are in the forecast Friday, December 13, for parts of Luzon, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

Central and northern Luzon will feel the effects of the tail-end of a cold front, the bureau said in its 24-hour forecast Thursday, December 12.

Cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rain can be expected in Aurora and Quezon. Residents in these areas should be on the lookout for flash floods and landslides.

Bicol and Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies, accompanied by light to moderate thunderstorms, while the Cordilleras and the Ilocos will have cloudy skies with light rains.

The rest of the archipelago will be partly cloudy to cloudy, accompanied by isolated rains.

Prevailing winds will come from the northeast. There are no tropical cyclones within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the bureau added.
