‘Amihan’ in north Luzon on Monday

MANILA, Philippines – The northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” will be felt in the northern extremes of Luzon on Monday, December 16, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

Cloudy skies with light rains are expected in Cagayan Valley, the bureau said in its 24-hour forecast released Sunday, December 15.

The Cordilleras and the Ilocos will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies accompanied by isolated rains, while the rest of the archipelago will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms.

Prevailing winds will come from the northeast to east. There is currently no tropical cyclone within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
