MANILA, Philippines – The state weather bureau said cloudy skies will bring light to moderate rain to a huge part of the country Saturday, December 28, while cloudy skies with isolated light rain will cover Metro Manila.

In its daily weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the following areas will experience light to moderate rain on Saturday:

  • MIMAROPA, composed of Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, and Romblon;

  • Bicol Region; and

  • Eastern and Western Visayas

This is due to the northeast monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon, PAGASA said.

It added the following areas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain:

  • Metro Manila

  • CALABARZON, composed of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, and Rizal

The rest of the Philippines will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, PAGASA said. – Paterno Esmaquel II/Rappler.com
