Cloudy skies in central, south PH

MANILA, Philippines – Central and southern parts of the country will experience cloudy skies Wednesday, January 8, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

Mindanao will feel the effects of the trough of a low pressure area, while the northeast monsoon is affecting Luzon.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao, the bureau said in its 24-hour forecast issued Tuesday, January 7.

The rest of the archipelago will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Prevailing winds will come from northeast. There are currently no tropical cyclones within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the bureau said.
