Cloudy skies in extreme north Luzon on Thursday

MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies are forecast in parts of extreme northern Luzon Thursday, February 20, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

The tail end of a cold front will affect the area, and cloudy skies with light to moderate rain is expected in Batanes and the Calayan and Babuyan Islands, the bureau said in its 24-hour forecast Wednesday, February 19.

The rest of Luzon and the Visayas, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, while Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Prevailing winds will come from the northeast.

There are no tropical cyclones within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the bureau added.
