MANILA, Philippines – The start of the Christmas week on Monday, December 22 will be accompanied with isolated rain and thunderstorms across the archipelago, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Ilocos, and Central Luzon, meanwhile, will experience cloudy skies and light rains, said PAGASA. This is due to a Northeast Monsoon blowing over Northern and Central Luzon.

A tail-end of a cold front is also affecting Eastern Visayas, and will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms, said PAGASA in its 5 pm bulletin.

Moderate to strong winds will be felt from the eastern to northeastern parts of the country, turning sea currents from moderate to rough.

In its weekly outlook, PAGASA said this weather will continue until Tuesday, December 23. Rappler.com
