Cloudy Christmas Day for parts of Luzon

MANILA, Philippines – Parts of Luzon will experience cloudy skies on Christmas Day, December 25, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In its 5 pm bulletin on Wednesday, December 24, PAGASA said Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Central Luzon, Bicol region, and the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

PAGASA also issued a thunderstorm watch bulletin at 10 pm warning the National Capital Region of a possible thunderstorm within 12 hours.

A diffused tail-end of a cold front is affecting Central Luzon and Southern Luzon, while a northeast monsoon is affecting Northern Luzon. (READ: Yellow alert lifted over Metro, 7 Luzon provinces)

The regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos will also have cloudy skies but with light rains. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms mostly over the eastern section. 

Coastal seas will be moderate to rough as moderate to strong winds blow from the northeast over the whole archipelago.
