Still cloudy for parts of PH Sunday

MANILA, Philippines – The skies will still be cloudy for many parts of the country on Sunday, December 28, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

As of 4 pm Saturday, December 27, the low pressure area (LPA) earlier spotted by PAGASA was estimated at 570 km east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao region, and Northern Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The tail-end of a cold front is affecting Eastern Visayas.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Ilocos region, and Central Luzon will also have cloudy skies but with light rains. PAGASA said a northeast monsoon is affecting Luzon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated light rains, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Coastal seas will be moderate to rough as moderate to strong winds blow from the northeast over Luzon and Visayas, and from the northeast to north over Mindanao.
