MANILA, Philippines – Tropical Depression Amang (international name Mekkhala) weakened further into a low pressure area (LPA) on Monday morning, January 19, state weather bureau PAGASA said. 

As of 4 am Monday, the LPA was located in the vicinity of Casiguran, Aurora, bringing light to moderate rains over Northern and Central Luzon.
