Rainy Monday for Luzon, Visayas

MANILA, Philippines – The regions of Luzon and Visayas are in for a rainy Monday on June 22, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

In its Sunday evening bulletin, it said these regions are likely to experience light to moderate rains and thunderstorms. The sky is also expected to be cloudy.

In Mindanao, skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy bringing isolated thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Light to moderate winds will prevail allthroughout the archipelago resulting in slight to moderate seas.

Due to the warm and humid weather condition the country is experiencing, PAGASA may declare the start of the rainy season soon.

A statement by PAGASA administrator Vicente Malano reads, “This development signifies the imminent onset of the rainy season under Type 1 climate which covers the western parts of Luzon and Visayas and may set in within the next few days.”
