Moderate rains for parts of VisMin on Friday

MANILA, Philippines – Different parts of the country will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms on Friday, June 26, said state weather bureau PAGASA.

In its 5 pm bulletin on Thursday, June 25, PAGASA said these rains may trigger flashfloods and landslides in Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and the provinces of Bohol, Siquijor and Southern Leyte.

An intertropical convergence zone is affecting Mindanao. Palawan and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds will blow from the southwest over the western section of Luzon, causing moderate to occasionally rough seas. For the rest of the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate as light to moderate winds blow from the southwest to west.
