MANILA, Philippines – A bettor from Tondo became the latest multi-millionaire, winning the P210 million Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot Monday night, May 27.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the winner bought the ticket at a stall in Manuguit, Tondo.
The winning combination 02-04-06-08-24-01 earned a total of P 210,795,849. 60.
Some P42 million or 20% of the winnings will be withheld as taxes as prescribed by the TRAIN Law.
Also lucky in the draw, the PCSO said, were 132 bettors who won P12,050 each for correctly guessing 5 of the 6 digits of the winning combination.
The new multi-millionaire must claim his prize at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City, and present two IDs.
The jackpot in the Grand Lotto 6/55 breached the P200-million-mark because of a no-winner streak since January 23.
Last May 21, a bettor from Toledo City in Cebu won over P107 million in the Lotto 6/42. The previous winner in the Lotto 6/42 was in the February 28 draw.
May 12 was doubly auspicious with solo winners in two lotto categories. The over P140 million jackpot of Super Lotto 6/49 was won by a lone bettor from Manila, while the more than P79 million jackpot of Ultra Lotto 6/58 was bagged by a bettor from Zambales.
All lotto draws are aired live every 9 pm on PTV 4. The Lotto 6/42 draw is every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; Super Lotto 6/49 draw is every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday; Mega Lotto 6/45 is every Monday, Wednesday and Friday; Grand Lotto 6/55 draw is every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday; and Ultra Lotto 6/58 draw is every Tuesday Friday and Sunday.
