The Commission on Elections (Comelec) organized three debates, ahead of the May 9 polls, to help the public scrutinize candidates running for the country’s highest post.
At 7 pm (Manila time) on Sunday, April 3, the Comelec holds its second PiliPinas debate for presidential bets. Nine of 10 presidential candidates are set to attend this second debate at the Sofitel Harbor Garden Tent.
The first presidential debate was held on March 19, and the third is scheduled on April 24.

Moreno to invest in watershed protection, with corporations’ support
Isko Moreno offered two ways to ensure clean and sufficient water supply in the country: watershed protection and support from corporations.
“[I] will make this watershed protected, if we can rebuild and make it better, for efficient use of it, in two-pronged again, you have water for irrigation, and you have water for energy source, then I will invest in that,” he said.
“Ito naman ay ‘yung ating mga existing cooperative, o whether pag-aari ng malalaking korporasyon, we will ask them to invest and access, para maka-access ‘yung bahay ng clean, potable water,” he added. (As for our existing cooperatives or those owned by big corporations, we will ask them to invest and access, so that households may also have access to clean, potable water.)
If they don’t invest, Moreno said, “Maybe I’ll review their contracts.”

Moreno says it’s high time to create two party system
Rebutting to a question on political parties, presidential bet Manila Mayor Isko Moreno opts to adopt a two-party system. He suggests 17 regions be represented by two senators each and says tandem voting for president-vice president should be observed as well.
