Two seasoned journalists from Rappler are among the eight panelists in the prestigious 2021 Jaime V. Ongpin Journalism Seminar.
The Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility (CMFR), which is in charge of the event, chose Rappler’s Lian Buan and Pia Ranada to speak in the seminar, which will be held on Thursday, October 14, at 9:30 am.
The other panelists are Christian Esguerra, Edson Guido, and Mike Navallo of ABS-CBN; and Camille Diola, Franco Luna, and James Relativo of Philstar.com.
The eight will talk about “radical changes in the news landscape, the issues of press freedom and democracy, and the place of news in Philippine society,” according to a CMFR press release.
