LGUs, schools extend class suspension until Wednesday

Class suspensions are extended in some areas and schools in Metro Manila and parts of Luzon

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Due to non-stop rains in Metro Manila and some parts Luzon, some local goverment officials and school officials announced that classes will remain suspended until Wednesday, August 8.

Areas that have suspended classes in all levels tomorrow are:

  • City of Manila
  • Caloocan City
  • Las Pinas City
  • Makati City
  • Malabon City
  • Marikina City
  • Muntinlupa City
  • Navotas City
  • Pasay City
  • Pasig City
  • Pateros
  • Quezon City
  • San Juan City
  • Taguig City
  • Valenzuela City

  • Laguna
  • Cavite
  • Rodriguez, Rizal
  • Cainta, Rizal
  • Binangonan
  • Batangas

  • Pampanga
  • Paombong, Bulacan
  • Bulacan
  • Balanga City, Bataan
  • Zambales
  • Batangas


Schools that have also suspended classes are:

  • St. Paul College, Pasig
  • Adamson University
  • Far Eastern University (all campuses)
  • Ateneo de Manila University
  • University of the East (all campuses)
  • Polytechnic University of the Phillipines (all campuses, except QC branch)
  • De La Salle University
  • Bataan Peninsula State University
  • Trinity University of Asia
  • Centro Escolar University (all campuses)
  • University of the Philippines – Diliman
