LPA spotted off Eastern Samar

MANILA, Philippines – State weather bureau PAGASA on Thursday, July 28, said the low pressure area (LPA) it earlier spotted is now located east of Borongan, Eastern Samar.

As of 4 pm Thursday, PAGASA said the LPA was at 555 kilometers east of Borongan, Eastern Samar, embedded along the intertropical convergence zone affecting Visayas and Mindanao. 

Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms in the next 24 hours. 

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. 

Moderate to occasionally strong winds will blow from the southwest over eastern Mindanao, causing moderate to occasionally rough seas. 

Elsewhere, coastal waters will be slight to moderate as light to moderate winds blow from the northeast to east over Luzon, from the southwest to southeast over Visayas, and from the southwest over the rest of Mindanao.
