Moderate-occasionally heavy rain in Zambales, Bataan on Saturday

MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rain over Zambales and Bataan on Saturday, October 8, according to state weather bureau PAGASA. 

In its 5 pm bulletin on Friday, October 7, PAGASA said these provinces will have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rain and thunderstorms that may trigger flashfloods and landslides. 

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms will affect Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.  

A southwest monsoon is affecting Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds will blow from the southwest to southeast over Luzon, causing moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, coastal waters will be slight to moderate as light to moderate winds blow from the southwest to south.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Aere which is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility was last located at 615 kilometers west of Itbayat, Batanes. 

It has maximum winds of 95 kilometers per hour (km/h) and gustiness of up to 135 km/h. It is moving west in direction at 7 km/h. – Rappler.com
