MANILA, Philippines – A low pressure area was spotted east of Mindanao Wednesday, November 14, as the intertropical convergence zone continues to affect the Visayas and Mindanao.
The LPA was spotted 660 km east of Mindanao as of 4 am, and is embedded along the ITCZ, the state weather bureau PAGASA said.
Cloudy skies with occasional moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected over Bicol, Eastern Visayas, and Caraga, with the possibility of triggering flashfloods and landslides.
Mimaropa and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao, on the other hand, will have occasional light to moderate rain or thunderstorms, while Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon will experience light rain.
The rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, will experience partly cloudy skies with isolated brief rain or thunderstorms later in the day.
Winds will primarily come from the northeast.
