MANILA, Philippines – Severe Tropical Storm Odette (Khanun) left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday evening, October 14. Rain, however, is still expected as Odette has not yet moved farther away.
In a bulletin issued 11 pm on Saturday, state weather bureau PAGASA said Odette is 350 kilometers west northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, moving northwest at a faster 15 kilometers per hour (km/h) from the previous 10 km/h.
The severe tropical storm slightly strengthened as it left PAR, and now has maximum winds of 110 km/h and gustiness of up to 140 km/h.
