MANILA, Philippines – Forecasters are closely monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
In a Facebook Live video at 4 pm on Thursday, June 20, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA is 1,380 kilometers east of Mindanao.
This LPA might become a tropical depression in the next few days, and possibly enter PAR.
Detailed updates are expected to be given once the LPA is nearer PAR.
In the meantime, the entire country will only have localized thunderstorms. (READ: FAST FACTS: Tropical cyclones, rainfall advisories)
