MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical & Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said cloudy skies and rain showers are expected to persist in the next 24 hours.
In its 5 pm weather forecast on Saturday, March 23, PAGASA said the provinces of Aurora, Rizal and Quezon will continue to experience cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms.
“(This) may trigger flash floods and landslides. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon,” PAGASA said.
“Light to moderate winds blowing from the East to Southeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and from the East to Northeast over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate,” it added.
PAGASA also said that Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley will be partly cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms until Tuesday, March 26. – Rappler.com
