MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies and rain is in the forecast for Palawan and parts of Luzon Wednesday, November 13, as a low pressure area hovers over the Sulu Sea.

As of 4 am Wednesday, the low pressure area – formerly Tropical Depression Zoraida, which weakened Tuesday – was located 115 km east of Puerto Princesa City, state weather bureau PAGASA said in its 25-hour forecast.

Aside from this, northern Luzon is experiencing the effects of the northeast monsoon, or the amihan.

Palawan is expected to experience cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rain, which could possibly cause flash floods and landslides, the bureau said.

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol, and the rest of Mimaropa will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain, while the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rains.

The rest of the archipelago will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies accompanied by isolated rains.
