MANILA, Philippines – Rainy weather will prevail in the Visayas and parts of Mindanao on Sunday, March 23, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In its 5am weather bulletin, PAGASA said the low pressure area – remnants of former tropical depression Caloy – was located in the vicinity of Southern Leyte.

Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms, while Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the rest of the Visayas will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon will have cloudy skies with light rains. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Coastal seas throughout the archipelago will remain moderate to rough as moderate to strong winds blow from the northeast over Luzon, and from the northeast to northwest over the rest of the country.
