MANILA, Philippines – Tropical Depression Domeng (international name Peipah) maintained its strength as it moves northwest in direction.

As of 10 am Wednesday, April 9, state weather bureau PAGASA said the center of Domeng was at 360 km east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. It has maximum sustained winds of 55 km per hour near the center, moving northwest at 5 km per hour.

Domeng is expected to be at 280 km east northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur by Thursday morning, April 10, and at 210 km northeast of the city by Friday morning, April 11.

By Saturday morning, April 12, it will be 210 km north of Hinatuan.

PAGASA estimated moderate to heavy rainfall of 5 to 15 mm per hour within the 400 km diameter of the tropical depression.
