Rainy Thursday for Eastern Visayas, Bicol

MANILA, Philippines – The low pressure area (LPA) near Northern Samar will bring rains to Eastern Visayas and Bicol on Thursday, April 24.

State weather bureau PAGASA spotted the LPA 160 kilometers northeast of the town of Catarman at 4 pm, April 23.

According to PAGASA’s 5 pm weather bulletin, moderate to occasionally strong winds from the northeast will prevail over Eastern Visayas and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon. They will make coastal waters in these areas moderate to occasionally rough.

The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will enjoy milder weather. Skies over these areas will be partly cloudy to cloudy threatening only isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Winds from the east to northeast will be light to moderate leading to calmer seas.
