LPA spotted off Guiuan, Eastern Samar

MANILA, Philippines – It will be rainy in parts of Visayas and Mindanao on Thursday, June 26, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

As of 4 pm Wednesday, June 25, PAGASA spotted a low pressure area (LPA) at 520 km east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

The regions of Central and Eastern Visayas, as well as Davao and Caraga, will have moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms. These can trigger flashfloods and landslides, PAGASA said.

Bicol region and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough as moderate to strong winds blow from the southwest over Luzon. They will be slight to moderate as light to moderate winds blow from the southwest to west over Visayas and Mindanao.
