MANILA, Philippines – A weak Southwest Monsoon may bring occasional rains to the extreme northern portion of the Philippines, specifically the Batanes, Babuyan and Calayan islands, on Tuesday, August 12.

State weather bureau PAGASA said in their August 11, 5 pm bulletin that the rest of the country can expect fairer weather that will likely bring only isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

However, Luzon should be ready for moderate to strong winds from the southwest. These winds will cause coastal waters to be moderate to rough. The rest of the archipelago will have light to moderate winds.
