MANILA, Philippines – Several areas across the country will be experiencing moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms on Monday, November 3.

State weather bureau PAGASA has identified Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and Mindanao to experience moderate to heavy rain.

This, as Typhoon Paeng (international name Nuri) continues to veer away from the country.

As of 4 pm Sunday, November 2, Paeng was located 1,120 km east of Casiguran, Aurora, packing maximum sustained winds of up to 175 kilometers per hour (KPH).

PAGASA has not issued a tropical cyclone warning as it estimates that Paeng will leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday afternoon, November 4.

Meanwhile, there will be moderate to strong winds in northern and eastern sections of Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas.

While Paeng is too far to affect the country, it has continued to enhance northeasterly winds over the eastern seaboard of Central and Southern Luzon and of Visayas. – Rappler.com
