MANILA, Philippines – It will be a cloudy Friday, January 9, for Visayas and parts of Luzon, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In its 5 pm bulletin on Thursday, January 8, PAGASA said Visayas will experience light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms on Friday.

Meanwhile, light rains will prevail over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon. A northeast monsoon is affecting Luzon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains, while Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Coastal seas will be moderate to rough as moderate to strong winds blow from the northeast over Luzon and Visayas, and from the northeast to north over Mindanao.
