Rainy Tuesday for parts of Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines – Expect some rainy weather in some parts of Mindanao on Tuesday, January 13, advised state weather bureau PAGASA.

In their Monday evening bulletin, the agency said moderate to occasionally heavy rains are expected over Caraga, Davao region and Northern Mindanao.

These rains may trigger flash floods and landslides, it warned. Thunderstorms may also occur.

Meanwhile, Visayas and the rest of Mindanao may have light to moderate rains. Cagayan Valley and Cordillera in Luzon are likely to experience light rains. The rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, should prepare for isolated light rains.

The Northeast Monsoon will be sending moderate to strong winds over Luzon and Visayas. Mindanao should also be ready for winds of similar strength.

These winds are likely to make coastal areas all over the country moderate to rough.
