MANILA, Philippines – Tropical Depression Amang (international name Mekkhala) weakened further into a low pressure area (LPA) on Monday morning, January 19, state weather bureau PAGASA said. 

As of 4 am Monday, the LPA was located in the vicinity of Casiguran, Aurora, bringing light to moderate rains over Northern and Central Luzon.

PAGASA lifted all public storm warning signals on Monday morning.

Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are still advised not to venture out over the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon, and the eastern seaboard of Southern Luzon. –
