MANILA, Philippines – Rappler’s multimedia reporters and contributors pooled their photos to capture devastating floods that submerged half the metropolis.

The photos in the Quezon City area — E. Rodriguez, Broadway extension bridge, and the San Juan River along Aurora Boulevard, and Roxas District – were taken by contributors Maurits van Linder, RLance Ch, Luis Liwanag, and Rappler’s Patricia Evangelista and Carmela Fonbuena.

The photo of a landslide in Litex, Bgy Commonwealth in Fairview which killed one and buried 8 was taken by Carlo Gabuco. Contributor Eduardo Arciga shared his photos of the Manggahan floodway and of people walking to their destination as transportation woes hit Metro Manila.

Contributor Eloi Hernandez sent a photo of the Sunken Garden at the University of the Philippines, while Roy Secretario sent a photo of the San Mateo-Marikina River. Other photos were contributed by Alisa Baleva, Zera Syson, and Fung Yu. –
