MANILA, Philippines – Residents in northern Luzon and southern Mindanao should prepare for rain on Saturday, May 25, the state weather bureau said.
In its weather bulletin for Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned of cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms in the following areas:
PAGASA attributed the rain in northern Luzon to a diffused tail-end of a cold front. The rain in Mindanao, on the other hand, is due to an intertropical convergence zone.
In Manila and the rest of the country, residents will experience party cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, mostly over the western section. – Paterno Esmaquel II/Rappler.com
