9 songs to practice for Pope’s Philippine Mass

MANILA, Philippines – Planning to sing along during Pope Francis’ Mass in the Philippines?

To help guide the Catholic faithful, organizers of the papal visit committee have released YouTube videos and musical scores of the 9 songs to be sung during Mass.

• Aleluya, Credo
• Glory to God
• Kordero
• Laudate Dominum
• Penitential Rite
• Santo
• Si Kristo, Amen
• Tinapay ng Buhay

The songs to be used in the Mass are composed by Fr Manoling Francisco.

They are multilingual and are a fusion of Western music with Filipino indigenous rhythm, according to Fr Carmelo Arada Jr of the Service Committee on Liturgy.
