MANILA, Philippines – Planning to catch a glimpse of Pope Francis on his first visit to the Philippines?

Keep yourself safe by knowing what to do before, during, and after the events. Note emergency numbers should you need help.

There are things you need to bring and items that are prohibited at the events. This Rappler infographic makes a quick list of those.

During his 5-day visit, the Argentine pontiff is set to hold public masses in Tacloban City on January 17 and at the Rizal Park in Manila on January 18.

His other events – the mass with priests, bishops, and religious individuals at the Manila Cathedral, and the youth encounter at the University of Santo Tomas – are limited to pre-selected individuals. The public can watch the events through LED screens to be set up outside the venues.
